The Gen5 Hyperdymium motor is Dyson’s fastest, most power-dense motor yet, spinning at up to 135,000rpm for your deepest whole-home clean. It offers advanced features such as HEPA filtration, over 115% more power (over a Dyson V8), and up to 70 minutes of run time to provide you with a deep and thorough clean.
The vacuum intelligently adapts power based on debris and floor type detected to optimize suction power. Select modes and observe the Color-coded bars on the LCD screen to ensure your floor is spotless. The previous V15 Detect had this type of display, but the Gen5 now allows you to see if the floor surface is clean - this makes much better use of the display in my opinion.

Updated Cleaning Heads
The Fluffy Optic cleaner head reveals 2x more dust on hard floors, while the Digital Motorbar cleaner head deep cleans carpets and hard floors without tangles. The filter and Fluffy brush bar can be washed, and the bin and tools wiped clean to remove dust build-up and optimize performance.
The machine is smartly designed to convert to a handheld vacuum with one click so you can clean up high, down low, and everywhere in between. The wand detaches to reveal a ready-to-go tool for continuous cleaning, including a crevice and dusting tool for spot cleans.
